I still remember the first time I ever played Mortal Kombat like it was yesterday. It was the early 90's and I was at a place called Shenandoah Acres with my family and friends. It was a lake/campground where we would go swimming every summer. There was a beach on the lake that had a shack with an arcade and a shop where you could get food and things like swimming gear and pool toys. I remember spending alot of time in the arcade. The wooden floors were covered in sand from people dragging it in on their feet and the place had a beach like smell to it. There was a huge variety of games and it was pretty loud from all the different sounds coming from them. I never got bored of that place. On one particular day when I walked in, I heard some sounds from a game that sounded different than usual coming from the back. It sounded like a fighting game. When I got to the back there was a new arcade game that stuck out to me. It was Mortal Kombat. I watched a couple of older kid...

Since I had pre-ordered Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition for the PS5, I recieved my copy in the mail a day early before its release and was ecstatic to play it. I had been keeping up with any news on the game since it was first announced. The first thing I do when I start playing a new Mortal Kombat game is play the story mode. I've always enjoyed the story of Mortal Kombat and can't ever wait to see what's going to happen next so I like to jump right into it. Since this game takes place in a new timeline, I wasn't sure what to expect at first. I really liked the opening of the game and the events that took place early on. I immediately got hooked. It was cool to see a different take on the characters and the story. It was also nice to see some returning characters that haven't been in a Mortal Kombat game in a while. There are some twists in the story that keep you interested and make you wonder if certain characters are going to turn out to be a bad guy...
