The Mangler (Spawn Series 7) From McFarlane Toys

When I was a kid, anytime I went shopping with my family I would go straight for the toy section to see what new Spawn figures had been released. I believe it was in the year 1997 that on one particular day I had walked in to a KB Toys and saw The Mangler on the shelf. I thought it was one of the coolest looking Spawn figures I had ever seen.

I immediately asked my mom if she could get it for me and she said she would get it for my birthday, which she did. It's been one of my favorite figures since then. I've always liked the design and details which McFarlane Toys is well known for.


The Mangler was part of Spawn Series 7 and was released in February of 1997. He stood 6 inches tall and came in blister packaging like most action figures did. 

The Mangler was created for the toy line and didn't appear in the comic's until later on in Shadowns of Spawn which was part of a Japanese shonen magazine called Monthly Dengeki Comic Gao! from 1998 through 1999.


I wouldn't have a chance to read it until years later when I found out that they had released the full manga in america.


I still have the figure and the manga in my collection to this day.

The curse of Spawn reaches beyond the human world. Malebolgia, the leader of the Darklands, has recruited animals in his quest to build the ultimate army. Many animals, including the Mangler, a wolf in his previous life, have become excellent Spawns. They don't question their masters, and act to please without hesitation. Uniting his animal instincts with the power of a Spawn, the Mangler relies on his keen sense of smell to track down his prey and carries a barbaric sword to defend himself.

Deadpool & Wolverine is an incredibly fun movie full of thrills and hilarious moments. It made a record breaking $211 million on opening weekend at the box office and still continued to break records throughout the following weeks. This movie is full of cameos, easter eggs, and references to the comic's that fans will love to see. It also pays homage to some of the older Marvel movies. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman knocked it out of the park. It's almost like they were born to play these characters and it's great to finally see them team up. Alien: Romulus Quick Review (No Spoilers)

Alien: Romulus became a hit at the box office and as of now it has made over $200 million globally and will mostly likely continue to keep doing well. It is a great movie to see in the theater. I had heard really good thing's about it before seeing it but I still went into the movie without setting my expectations too high. I loved it and think it is the best Alien movie to come out since Aliens. The movie has so many tense and unexpected moments that will keep you in suspense. Also several claustrophobic moments. It has that dark and creepy atmosphere to it. I was taken by surprise in a lot of scenes in this movie. They were able to try many new thing's and threw in some easter eggs and throwback references that I think fans of the franchise will love. My Thoughts On The Mortal Kombat 2021 Movie

I've been a huge long-time fan of the Mortal Kombat franchise since I was just a little kid and the original was released in arcades back in 1992. That being said, I really didn't mind the Mortal Kombat 2021 movie even though it has been criticized by many. Sure there are some thing's in it that I didn't like. For example I didn't like how quickly Goro was taken out by the new character Cole Young or how I thought some character's didn't get enough screen time. I didn't let that ruin the whole movie for me though. Some people think that it was nothing like the games but in my opinion I think that if it was exactly like the games then we would already know what to expect and it wouldn't be very interesting because we've already seen it in the games.
